perseverance

Ever give up on something? How do you feel after? Usually crappy and like you've let yourself down by not having enough will to continue. Perseverance is something not many have. Some people that take it to the extreme are sometimes called obsessed. Can it be that maybe to that person, they want to take that one thing they do and take it as far as possible?
I have been watching the bodybuilding career of Santana Anderson IFBB Pro. He has been making waves in the bodybuilding world for a while now. Did a big pro show event in Toronto in June that was called the Toronto Pro Super Show. He didn't win the show but you can see how far he got by just having perseverance.
Years ago when I first heard of him, I would never have thought he would have won his pro card. He was placing well in shows but there always were guys that beat him. In 2010 you could see that he had got all his ducks in a row. He was posting up pictures of how he looked for his upcoming show and he was wowing the people who saw them. In retrospect, I was watching an IFBB Pro in the making and didn't even know it till then. The guy is a class act. Humble to the bone. I heard a story that when he had a very good chance to win the show and become pro, a fellow competitor told him he's going to be pro that night. His eyes grew big like it had just dawned on him then and there that he could win the show. And sure enough, he went ahead and won the whole show and became and IFBB Pro. I was there to see it all unfold.
Santana Anderson is my one my favorite IFBB Professionals at the moment. I would like to see the day where he will step onstage with Fouad Abiad and Ben Pakulski. To make it a dream competition, add Frank McGrath and Lou Joseph to the mix and we'll have almost all the current competing IFBB pros in one show at the same time. I could just imagine how much posting that would create on the Canadian bodybuilding forums.

Getting back to myself. These guys in the industry have been showing me what it takes to achieve the success you want. The key is to never give up. So many try something for a while and then give up as it either takes too much effort to take it further or it because to boring which means it is not what they really want. If one really wants something, then one must be willing to make the sacrifice(s) it takes to get to that point. Fouad Abiad has a good saying. Sacrifice, without regret. It means that you will make your sacrifices knowing full well the price that has to be paid and you will have no regret.
It is very true when it comes to most things we are trying to achieve in life. For example, if one wishes to become a doctor, that means years and years of studying and learning and not being able to do things your friends are doing. Such as going partying, traveling often and all things that would take you away from your goal of becoming a doctor.
I will write more soon about how perseverance ruin your life if you don't know what to give up and when to give up.
